Ok so I'm watching the Today Show (I never watch the Today show, I always watch the Early show on CBS, but it's over now and I wanted some news). They are doing many segments on Christmas things; housing market, saving money, toy drives and now we are to fashion for winter parties. At the beginning of EVERY segment they have played music to transition into it which is a great idea, but this music has been SO LOUD that it's actually very hard to hear the anchors introducing the story. They also keep it playing for about a minute into the segment....extremely annoying. During the toy drive and fashion segments they kept the music playing the ENTIRE time, it almost seemed as if the anchor and guest were having to slightly yell to make themselves heard.
Lots of things on tv these days frustrate me, it often times makes me irritated that they are actually getting paid (most likely very well) to do this job.
Anywho, one of the segments played Trans Siberian Orchestra throughout it which reminded me that I haven't heard any of them this year. It's time to bring out the CD's and blare the itunes! Next to being at Silver Dollar City for Christmas, Trans Siberian Orchestra is my all time favorite Christmas group. I got the chance to go to their concert last year (finally!) and it was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. Something about heavy metal Christmas carols, they just do it so perfectly!
Here's a video of my FAVORITE song. If you're ever in my car with me when this song comes on, all talking ceases and the volume goes up as loud as I can stand it. :)
