One more day

One more day until my mommy comes to visit.
One more day and Chase will have completed 5 flights in 4 days.  (and be 16 flights from COMPLETION!)
One more day and I will have a glorious 3 days off (the most in a row I've had since Smackers opened)
One more day and then I will proceed to let my brain shut down for awhile.

Smackers has kicked my butt this week.  It hasn't been anything out of the ordinary, we've actually been unusually slow, but man, I have been in a HUGE slump all week. Tuesday I just shut down at work, my brain wasn't working, my hands weren't working, even the words coming out of my mouth were wrong. The rest of the week hasn't been much better.  Even on my birthday, all I wanted to do was go get some fast food and go lounge on the couch.  (Which is what we did and it was oh so nice)

At 4:30 tomorrow, I'm leaving Smackers and not for one bit think about how things are going there, what might not be getting cleaned at night or how insanely busy they may be.  I'll go in, get my yogurt with mom (when she gets here), I might even spill something on the floor (accidently) and not have a care in the world about who has to clean it up.

Then I will relax with mom, who is coming down because she needs a break too, mainly from her jerk of a boss.  But also because it's her birthday!  We will be venturing back to Umi Saturday night to give mom her first experience of sushi and hibachi grilling.  It definitely should make for some fun times.  Oh and Chase is buying a gun Saturday morning.  Yes....we will soon be firearms owners.  Not gonna lie, I'm kind of excited.  I've wanted him to buy a gun for awhile.  Then we are hoping to take mom out and have her shoot a gun (for the first time!)

Alas, a dirty kitchen awaits me.  I also need to make mom's birthday cake aaaaand I need to wash the sheets on her bed.  Too bad it's almost 9 and there's a slim to none chance of my washer being started tonight.  Guess I'll rush and do that tomorrow.

I'll give more of a recap later (maybe).  I do just need to say how amazing my birthday weekend was this year.  Definitely the best birthday ever!  I love all the friends I have made here.  You all are so amazing!  Thank you for everything you did for me!  And Kelsey, thank you for not judging me for everything that happened past picture 44 Saturday night.  :)
