Don't get the giggles when cutting your husband's hair

Chase and I have started a Sunday routine.  We go to church, get some lunch (either at home or out), Chase studies for the afternoon while I go get groceries or various other things.  Then when it's dinner time, we grill.  We've done this for about a month and a half now.  We've grilled chicken, filet mignon, steaks, hamburgers, hot dogs and pork chops.  We also try various veggies.  It was normally green peppers, mushrooms and onions.  Tonight we grilled some filets and some bacon wrapped asparagus.  It was amazing!!!!  Chase always wants to try new seasonings and rubs and to my surprise I've had all the right ingredients each time. I'm quite impressed with my grill master and I foresee this tradition continuing for a long time!

After dinner it's normally time to ....duh duh duhnnnn..... cut Chase's hair.  We decided that we could try to save some money and do it ourselves.  I felt pretty confident in my hair cutting abilities and Chase was willing to let me come near him with a trimmer, so why not?  Haha.  Weeeeelllllll, on our first attempt we both messed up some and Chase ended up having field training hair again.  It was extremely short and somewhat "high and tight".  I guess it wasn't as bad as we thought though because only about 3 people in his flight said anything.  (Or they were all just being nice).  Well we've gotten better and tonight he was trimming the top prepping it for me do finish the sides and bottom.  I did my part and blended it (all the while he's trying to watch me cut his hair so as I'm coming around the side of  his head with the trimmer, he's turning his head to watch.....doesn't make cutting very easy.  Ha).  I decided that his hair line in the front needed a little trim.  Well you have to use scissors when doing that.  This made Chase a little nervous, we had never used scissors before.  Well I got halfway done and I started laughing.  Chase, who wasn't looking in the mirror got very nervous.  I'm not sure why I was laughing but I couldn't even get out the words to tell him that it looked fine.  After a quick glance in the mirror, I was finally able to get my giggles out and finish.  I think it looks pretty good.  Especially considering I have no training and it was FREE.

No, I didn't give him that bald spot. Ha

He wanted his face to be censored out so his identity could be protected.  Haha.  We then proceeded to play with photo booth for about 30 minutes.  It's been so long a very long time since I've laughed that hard.  I literally had tears running down my face.  We even got Charlie in on the fun but he wasn't very cooperative.  I had an amazingly funny picture to put up here, but Chase deleted it before I could get to it....not sure why...he wasn't the one with an alien head.  Haha.  I did manage to let him post one picture though.

Tomorrow is the soft opening of Smackers!!!!  I couldn't be more excited.  I have no idea what to expect except to be extremely busy!  We had a meeting Saturday and a VIP reception Saturday night and between the both, about 20 people tried to come in because they thought we were already open.  I've never seen this town so excited about something before.  I'll be sure and come back to let everyone know how my first day was.  I work everyday this week, even  Saturday, which is the grand opening!  I'm already starting to have Kelsey withdrawals.  I told her she needs to come in and soak up all the free wifi so we can still be hanging out together.  We decided that Alex probably would not enjoy that though.  Now it's time for bed.  It's going to be a busy week in the Bradley house.  Chase has his checkride this week, so the stress is running high.  Next weekend can't get here fast enough!
